A charming dwarf bamboo native to Fujian and Zhejiang provinces in China, widely cultivated in Japan. Wonderful as a tall dense ground cover or low hedge clipped into shape... or not. As undergrowth it will suppress growth of weeds.



Characteristics
A most attractive small bamboo reaching maximum 1m.
Squat, broad, oval leaves.
Looks great filling pots & planters.
Prefers a shady spot.
Very hardy.
Will tolerate light frosts.
